Drawing Closer to Your Ancestral Legacy
Annually the month of May is the time families and our nation come together in remembrance and to honor our national heroes and personal ancestors. This year our celebration may be a bit different due to the global pandemic. My sincere prayers of condolences go out to those who have lost loved ones from the COVID 19 virus.
This month as we celebrate our triumphs over adversity, let’s draw strength from the memories of triumph over adversity from our ancestral stories and legacies. Whenever you are feeling uncertainty fear or doubt about what’s going on during this period of isolation, get still, slow down and BREATH DEEPER as you slow your heart rate down and bring clarity and shifting from flight or fright mode by easing feelings of calm and peace.
Our lives have taken a new direction that will go down in history as one of the most significant events in modern times. I am confident that we will evolve as better individuals globally as we eventually come out of this period of isolation more appreciative of what we once took for granted.
Here are a few simple things you can do immediately to shift your awareness and choose to be at peace
Choose a day once a week to pour a libation or pray with your family members even if only virtually.
This is a great opportunity for those who feel drawn to ancient wisdom practices to set up a sacred space in your homes to honor your ancestors. You can download the class Introduction to Ancestral Reverence on my website www.Yeyefini.com.
The use of my Banishing Herbal Wash, Banishing Soap available on my website can be very useful in shifting the energy of fear, stress, anxiety, doubt Into feelings of clarity, peace, hope, and focus. The sacred herbs, ingredients, and prayers used during the making of all of my products is a prayer from me to you.
Here are a few additional things you can incorporate into your spiritual practices during this month of honoring your ancestors
1) Chose the name of one of your ancestors weekly as a topic of discussion. Draw inspiration from their life’s journey. This can be done perhaps around your dinner table or special get together with family
2) Make a family tree or family timeline to share with the children in your family
3) Have elders in your family feel loved and supported with calls and video chats daily
4) Continue to follow the required use of masks, washing of hands, support your immune system with supplements, fresh fruits and vegetable, exercise, and sleep.
May you have a wonderful month of May
