Alafia Parents, We are delighted to begin the ROP classes with your child. It is our hope that we will attract others to join us so that we will have the minimum number of boys and girls to have a retreat in the coming year. Whenever we do have the next retreat your child will be eligible to take free refresher classes a few weeks before attending.
Our first class is scheduled for Sunday, April 7th, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. EST. The class fee of $315.00 is to be paid in full by March 17th. Send payment via Paypal with email address iiaskinc@gmail. Please make a not of your child’s full name and what the payment is for.
Classes will begin and end on time 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Time can be flexible based on our needs.
We will be using www.FreeConferenceCal.com webcam for class.
At the end of each class we will schedule the next. This format gives us all ultimate flexibility. We can have one or two classes per month depending on everyone’s schedule. Please discuss dates with your child prior to each class so that we can be on the same page. The txt emails will remind you to do this as well.
If your child must miss a class please let me know ASAP and I will record that session for them. We have 3 students, if two of them will be absent I will cancel and reschedule that class.
The webcam link and handouts will be emailed no later than the day before each class. All communications will be directed to both you and your child so please send me your child’s email address.
To support our ability to communicate in case there are technical difficulties I am requesting your child’s cell phone number if they have one. Please also give them my cell number 954-612-0627 and email address firstname.lastname@example.org
Parents are required to participate by taking the seven SEI introductory classes if they have not already done so. Parents who are ordained Ifa/Lukumi priests are exempt from these classes. The classes are available for digital download at www.yeyefini.com or contact me to discuss live online sessions.
Please don’t hesitate to contact me or Iyalode Yeyefini with any questions.

Youth Rights of Passage 2019 classes and retreat with Yeyefini.com
Every society has a way of allowing individuals within that society to make the transition from childhood to adulthood. The people of Africa (Yoruba in this case) have six (6) major graduations known as Rites of Passage (ROP). They are birth, 7 years old, formal education, career, marriage & parenting, death.
This ROP program established by Yeyefini in 1992 is geared to prepare the youth with vital knowledge, systems, and power to enable them to know their rights and responsibilities as they enter into adulthood. These students will be taught how to go within and face their emotions and respond to those emotions by creating solutions through guidance from the inner self.
The ROP will allow the youth to address and mobilize against some of the negative effects they face as teens. This experience will give them the tools to avoid the use of drugs, liquor, and other forms of addiction to solve their problems.
