Four Dynamic women healers will discuss their craft and offer an experiential workshop at Florida International University Program in the Study of Spirituality.
Exceptional panelists will include: Dr. Carol Davis, professor at the University of Miami School of Medicine and author of a study on the role of empathy in healing; Ronnie Newman, a Vedic medicine practitioner and Senior Meditation teacher from the Art of Living Foundation; Dr. Lisa Van Ostrand, a Taoist teacher of bio-energetic healing techniques and Dr. Medical Qigong (China); and Yeyefini Efunbolade, founder of the International Institute of Afrikan Studies and Knowledge and a practitioner of ancient Yoruban shamanic healing techniques.
Moderator will be Rev. Linnea Pearson, Ph.D., who uses spiritual direction, pastoral counseling, and meditation as modes of healing. She is the Inter-Faith/Unitarian Universalist Chaplain at FIU/BBC.
Program coordinator will be Nina Yarus, who facilitates women’s spiritual study groups.
The program is held in honor of Women’s History Month.
