Global Healing by Iyalode Yeyefini Efunbolade

In the reading/forecast of the year for the World 2010 conducted by Yeyefini it states …

“We must find global solutions rather than think of ourselves as separate groups because we all face the same challenges and we’re all looking for peace in our lives.”

To achieve global healing here are some suggestions for monthly full moon spiritual ceremonies. Each month contains the name of a spiritual energy know as Orisa in the Ifa/Lucumi/Candomble spiritual system of the Yoruba people of Nigeria, West Africa.

January the energy of Elegba. Awaken and heal the child in you. Meditate, focus, and visualize yourself during the happiest time you can remember from childhood. Relive the joyous time by remembering and recognize the feeling of joy you had. Touch three children’s lives with gifts, games or donations.

February the energy of Olokun. Olokun represents the energy of the unconscious self. Meditate and focus, tap into what is going on in your spirit. Use a calming meditation of sounds of the ocean and connect. We will awaken in our spirit the things, behavior, actions that are not obvious to us.

March the energy of Ogun. Meditate and exercise (also yoga, qigong) cleanse your body by fasting to replenish damaged cells, removing fear, aggression and hostile behavior by tapping into the courage required to be at peace.

April the energy of Oshun. This is the time to focus on self love. Meditate, visualize and make a list of all the things you want to forgive in yourself and extend that forgiveness to the world around you. After 30 days take the list to a river, lake or running stream and release it to the energy of love.

May the energy of Songo. This is a time to look with in and complement you. Meditate everyday at sunrise. Everyday find six new things you are grateful for and extend that gratitude to the world. Use your divine gifts by sharing with and helping others.

May the energy of the Ancestors. Connect and give thanks to all of your ancestors by pouring libation, light a candle, say a prayer in memory of your ancestors. Connect to your family legacy thru meditation and giving. Then do the same for the collective ancestors of us all who were champions of justice and freedom.

June the energy of Ifa. Connect to your passion by meditating and giving homage to your divine consciousness and wisdom faculty. The passion that you have for your life, your work is an expression of divine purpose. Share your divine purpose by finding 16 ways of giving through volunteer and charity work.

July the energy of Yemonja. To change your ways, change your life. Allow peace to guide your decisions by knowing that you are made from perfection. Spend this time doing nurturing things for yourself and others. Go to the ocean and meditate. Allow the breeze of the ocean to cleanse and baptize you.

August the energy of Obatala. This is the time to connect to the universe and everybody and everything that has impacted you both positively and negatively. This is a time to give thanks and celebrate what you’ve succeeded in overcoming. Meditate, visualize to the energy of peace. Go to a hilltop. Hold your hands up high above your head and give thanks to God.

September the energy of Oya. Release to the wind all that has hampered you and is holding you back. Forgive the unforgivable, love the unlovable and repent the unrepentable. Meditate , visualize see yourself standing in a lotus flower being reborn.

October & November the energy of the Ancestors. Once again take the opportunity to pray for the suffering souls and give honor to your ancestors. Those who have died in anguish, anger, confusion and or tragedy. Light a candle, meditate and send loving healing energy to them.

December the energy of Babaluaiye. Do a cleansing fast to heal your body by detoxing the cells of your body in preparation for the Winter solstice.

Alafia All,

After having a discussion about the moon report with another Yemoja sister, I came to understand that an explanation of the interpretation would be very helpful for some, so see the explanations below.

Adupe,

Iya Ademuyiwa

Full Moon in Aries @ 11°09′

Date : October 4th , 2009

Time: 1:04am EST

The sun is visiting the celestial house of Libra (Oshun) , and the moon (Yemoja) , is visiting the celestial house of Aries (Ogun), this is all transpiring right before the Harvest Moon.

Explanation:

The sun represents our ego or person therefore, the person and those things that are personable will be challenged to come into balance for the months governing Sept 22 through Oct 23 which is Libra/ Oshun’s time. Libra-Oshun governs the need for all to be in balance. If we don’t work to balance our bodies ( emotional, physical) then when we move into the next cycle governed by Oya/ Scorpio. Those things left un attended will be brought to the surface and tossed around.

This full moon is a “birthing moon” a time of great abundance and opportunity is manifesting within the Universe. Though this isn’t a new moon event this particular time of the full moon is a time of releasing and creating simultaneously which makes this a very special season during one of the moon’s 13 cycles.

Explanation : The moon –Yemoja has absorbed and is reflecting the Sun’s energies of Oshun-Libra, while in Ogun-Aries’ house, which is also a heated energy. During this full moon, all 3 energies work together in the process of giving birth. Ogun’s energy pushes forth those things which have been germinating , in this case, we’re referring to the emotions and attitudes of people and what makes their ego tick. Birthing begets all things of abundance, but everything that comes to us abundantly isn’t always good for us, so we must take care of what we are bringing forth. Our attitudes, our feelings pro or con towards issues etc.

The underlying theme of this ‘birthing moon’ is a message of one’s need to express moderation in all areas, accommodating attitudes, self analysis, and walking the middle road i.e living in a balanced state of being ,to assist oneself in obtaining the ultimate blessings or ire that the Universe has available to each and every one of us.

Explanation: Our emotions and behavior (ego) is being asked during this time to exhibit those things which Oshun Libra governs regarding attitudes, and behaviors. I.E. moderation, living a balanced state of being etc. This awareness of living in balance is creating energies that are being sent out to the Universe and also being redirected from us to us. A healthy mind is a healthy heart(emotional heart), a healthy or stable emotional heart, gives birth to a positive outlook, a positive outlook gives birth to positive action. Positive actions give birth to positive re-actions both temporal and spiritual. Thus positive abundance.

This is our time to seek out and collect those good things, money, health, wealth, and abundance. We can do this by exercising our nobility of spirit, holding ourselves to a higher standard, recognizing the best within ourselves and in others and inspiring all to reach their full stature. Not demanding or insisting we have our own way. Instead share your own abundance of spirit with others and in turn abundance will return to you.

This ‘birthing moon’ can be especially kind to business women, men will also benefit from this moon but those women who are in business and those women who are in the know of all things ritual, will truly benefit from this birthing process .For women carry an energy of creation, i.e. bringing forth into existence that which previously didn’t exist.

Explanation: The moon reflects our emotional selves, and hidden energies, it has a strong pull on women and men but especially women thus, the pull to create something new is subtlety felt and experienced. This moon (Yemoja) who rules all women’s affairs (Oshun) rules abundance and good things in life, (Ogun) wealth, stability, and bringing into being by force. Women who are in business could respond easily to these energies, making creative and effective business decisions. Men may experience the re-action of these energies by relating to others. Women who are ritualistic (priests, shaman) will recognize this energy and work with it to manifest positive changes which need to come into being.

This moon will also move to light anything positive or negative which people have previously nurtured emotionally, therefore it is beneficial to utilize this moon’s time for purging, in particularly emotional attitudes and pain which previously were empowered causing us to be out of harmony with our greatest good.

Explanation: The moon which governs our emotions will bring forth those previous conceived notions, and habits we’ve nurtured, this is every full moon but a ‘birthing moon’ is more powerful because the effects can become more intense.

This moon is bringing us opportunities of abundance,-Explanation :what the Universe sends our way will be a direct response to our behaviors and attitudes.

For us to be in synchronization with this moon it is crucial for us to ‘parent’ ourselves, becoming more mature, accommodating, studious, and disciplined with our health and finances. This isn’t the time to splurge our finances in any fashion, instead look to creating venues which you may not have felt you were worthy of, or you lacked the emotional energy to get up and make a reality. Ritualize, ritualize, and ritualize some more!

STOP PROCRASTINATING

KEEP YOUR EYES PEELED FOR OPPORTUNITIES

MAKE BALANCED DECISIONS WHICH WILL OPEN DOORS OF OPPORTUNITY

DO ALL THINGS IN MODERATION

BE MORE MATURE WITH YOUR DECISIONS

KNOW THAT YOU ARE WORTHY OF ALL THE GOOD THINGS IN LIFE

NOW GO OUT AND GET THEM.

Written and interpreted by Olubisi. A

Let us not engage the world hurriedly.
Let us not grasp at the rope of wealth impatiently.
That which should be treated with mature judgment,
Let us not deal with in a state of anger.
When we arrive at a cool place,
Let us rest fully;
Let us give continuous attention to the future;
and let us give deep consideration to the consequences of things.
And this because, of our (eventual) passing.

Eji Ogbe -Odu

Let it the thought, let it be said, let it be written , let it be done.

Have a Meaningful Monday.

Today is a number 6 day.

In the science of numerology, every number has a spiritual vibration. By adding the day, month, and year of everyday we can harness the power and use it to help ourselves.

Since the vibration changes every 24 hrs, each day has an influence of its own. Expect that people may need your assistance, advice or counsel, you may be needed as a nurse, teacher, father, mother, confessor, counselor, refugee, host and companion all rolled into one.

I suggest following the old proverb “when you give advice without being asked, it’s considered meddling”.

Make your surroundings beautiful today. It will assist you in being joyful, harmonious and helpful at work and home. Fluff the pillows, pick or buy a small bouquet of flowers, light some sweet incense or a candle, give a compliment to everyone today, including yourself. Have a meaningful Monday.

It takes a Black Man and a White Woman to bring dignity, grace and a new approach to the presidential debates, I’ve never experienced in my life. In fact this is the only presidential debate that I’ve stayed tuned to listen to the entire thing. If this is the direction that America is actually going, we can use this event as a guide for all future political debates. It made the viewers feel respected and that their intelligence mattered, and their support counted. We are in fact at a major crossroad in direction of America. I am not saying that they won’t begin to smear each other after NASTY TUESDAY, but if they do at least they gave us a refreshing start, and perhaps they realize that they could select each other as vice president, when they win??????

For the past few years, the USA, has not lived up to some of the ideals it was supposed to, such as respect for others, support and aide without dogma, and we were respected and appreciated in the world, and for many embodied human rights and freedom. Maybe America is now being given a chance to bring back the respect and dignity that has been lost. We are at the crossroads of a major event in the History of the world!!!!

Seeing two people who represent the faces of those who did not have the right to vote in America not too long ago run for the highest office in the United States is exciting. We are also at the crossroads and should ALL BE PROUD, of the dream of our African Ancestors, the hope of our forefathers can be realized and the future of mankind can be changed by the realization of our mental, spiritual, financial POWER.

No longer can the ignorant people of the world think, or assume, that Black are not indeed, human, intelligent, prepared, wise, and giving as any other race of people. We collectively as Black people built the wealth of the world from the sweat of our backs, the marks of the whips on our spirits but we continue to do the work.

I want to first give thanks to our ILUSTRIOUS ANCESTORS for their tireless hope from beyond the grave, their continued support by encouraging their children in their dreams at night as they sleep to continue the legacy of giving, nurturing and financially supporting our community. I want to thank Barak Obama’s Ancestors for giving him to us. Also want to thank many of the well know entertainers and people in the media for giving back continuously in spite of the fact that they don’t to get the publicity like Angelina Jolie for adopting children. We have such great Giants that continue to listen to their ancestors in their sleep AND GIVE BACK TIRELESSLY TO THEIR COMMUNITY such as: Oprah Winfrey, Bill and Camille Cosby, Russell Simmons, Denzel Washington, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith , Chris Rock, Alonzo Morning and many others who because of my ignorance, I don’t know their names or what they are doing to give back of course there are those community workers who do not even get mentioned in their local media let alone the national and international news, for you .I give great thanks and praises, because to me the real heroes are the ones that continue to give in spite of no notoriety.

To Mr. Obama, may you live long, continue to be a strong leader, prosper and do the damn thing!!!!

Yeyefini
