The Self Empowerment Workshop (SEW) Retreat

The Self Empowerment Workshop (SEW) is a six day intensive retreat for adults filled with ancient rituals of possession of one’s guardian spirits, protective guides, and ancestors facilitated by Iyalode Yeyefini Efunbolade and her trained priests and mediums.  The initiate will be impacted and their life choice process considerably changed by uncovering many of the spiritual, emotional, and psychological blocks that have dis-empowered, angered, and sometimes immobilized them.  Facing these issues and using rituals to transcend some of the trauma inherited from the enslavement of Africans in the Diaspora such as molestation, rape, abuse, neglect, and abandonment has helped many be more successful in their lives.

Last Meaningful Monday – February 28, 2011

Over the years, my intention has always been to be diligent, committed and consistent to developing my divinity.  Through this effort, I have found joy, peace and love in and for myself and my family.  When I share the gift and talent that I have received from the universe with people I know and love, it really makes me feel warm and fuzzy.

Over the years, I have shared with many of you via Facebook and email many of my experiences through a blog called Meaningful Mondays.  This blog has now become a published book to guide and assist towards self empowerment and self awareness of mind, body and spirit.  The book has information, scriptures, menus, ceremonies and inspiration that are useful in your daily life.

I want to thank each one of my blog readers for encouraging me to share, because you all made me see the value in my little stories.

This is actually my last Meaningful Monday blog.  However, I will be starting a new video blog entitled, “Teaching Tuesdays”, where I will share stories, apataki, and mythology of the archetypical legends of the power source of the Universe known as Orisha that are governing each month’s energy (every month, a different Orisha presides).  I hope you will find this inspiring, useful and beneficial in enhancing your life, and ultimately bringing you joy, peace and love.

Have a Changing Meaningful Monday

Yeyefini a Panelist – March 25th at FAU-Boca Campus

FRIDAY, MARCH 25th at FAU-Boca Campus Yeyefini Efunbolade will  be one of the panelists on the Topic of “Is God/Goddess in you or in the sacred shrine  [How we connect to the God/Goddess in the Universe and the God within ourselves].

The theme for the Summit this year is “Come on Baby Light My Fire, The Origins of Our Beliefs.”  The Summit will explore the mystical foundation and major themes in each tradition, cross-reference characteristics and qualities of the mystics’ lives with your own (including your own transformative experiences) and the following issues within each respective tradition: social justice, ways/rituals of worship, role of art & music and contemplative practices & explorations.  Mysticism is at the same time the most normal and the highest expression of the spiritual life.  A mystic draws form every possible human activity, because G-d is in it all.

This interactive day will begin with calls to prayer from multiple faith traditions, led by leaders of these respective traditions and the keynote address given by Robert Corin Morris, S.T.M., D.D., Executive Director of Interweave, an ecumenical and interfaith learning community.  The day then continues with workshops/ breakout sessions  where participants  explore the mystical practices of the numerous faith traditions represented (Buddhism, Hinduism, Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Baha’I and Ifa/Yoruba Obatala.) Following two break-out sessions, there will be a meal and panel discussion focusing on the different mystical pathways.  Closing the day will be an African Drumming Circle.

Please come out…. Find Peace in Diversity”.
